Why We Built Beauforts Legal Differently

A year ago, we founded Beauforts Legal because we believed there was room for a different approach to legal services.
Our lawyers had spent years working at leading international firms, as in house counsel, and at smaller, specialised practices. We valued the experience, the standards and the expertise that came with that. But we also saw an opportunity to offer clients something more personal, more responsive and more closely connected to what they were actually trying to achieve.
That became the foundation for Beauforts Legal.
Our goal was simple: to provide exceptional legal advice while taking the time to build genuine relationships with the people and businesses we advise.
A year on, that principle remains at the heart of how we work.
For us, the law is only part of the picture.
Good legal advice starts with understanding the client, the wider context and what matters most to them. Sometimes that means helping a business think through the practical implications of a corporate structure. Sometimes it means guiding a family through succession planning. In every case, the legal answer needs to work in the real world.
So what do we mean when we talk about the Beauforts difference?
It means access to specialist legal expertise without layers of bureaucracy.
It means having an experienced advisor who knows you and your circumstances, and who is available when you need them.
It means practical, insight-driven advice that takes account of your personal, family or business objectives, rather than looking at the legal issue in isolation.
And it means being straightforward about fees, with a clear and transparent approach to pricing.
Over the past year, we have had the opportunity to advise clients across a wide range of personal and commercial matters, from succession planning and wills to corporate structuring and intellectual property.
What has been most rewarding is seeing that the model we set out to build works: experienced legal advice can be sophisticated without being impersonal, and specialist without being inaccessible.
As Beauforts Legal enters its second year, that is the approach we intend to keep building on.
Specialist advice. Genuine relationships. And a clear focus on what matters most to our clients.
